A word from the caring crew

Hi Academy High Owls! The Caring Crew is a new, student-led club that hopes to make a positive impact on the community. We are trying to find ways to help inside and outside of school. The Caring Crew welcomes everyone's participation and is currently promoting some upcoming events. 

Cupcake Run The Caring Crew has recently partnered with Champaign-Urbana Special Recreation for their 8th annual Cupcake Run. When individuals sign up, the registration fee goes towards CUSR’s Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to individuals who need access to CUSR programs. A number of Academy High students and faculty have registered for this fun and meaningful event. Food Challenge The Food Challenge is an event that is designed to help provide meals to food insecure families in town. The term food insecurity describes a household's inability to provide enough food for every person to live an active, healthy life. With the holidays approaching, this time of giving is needed more than ever. Details on this event will be shared soon, and we hope that you will join us. If you would like to try out a club meeting, you are welcome anytime. Our goal is for everyone to find an organization that they are passionate about helping.
