An Open Letter from This Year’s Senior Editors: Cassandra Colmenares and Colette Tichenor

Dear Axoliterates,

Thank you for supporting the Axolotl Insider for the 2020-2021 school year. This End of the Year Special will be the final issue this semester. We are excited to announce that this time we have collaborated with the Women Empowered Club who have contributed four articles to our lineup! Please support their work and make sure to look forward to Axolotl Insider publications next school year.

As graduating seniors, we are sad to say we must step down from the newspaper and move on to our college careers. We have cherished our time serving as a direct line between Academy High, the school community, as well as to the greater community- we hope you have as well.

Now we have the pleasure of opening up this opportunity to two more Axolotl writers to take the lead. We’d like to introduce William Ding, current column writer and administrative assistant, and Paula Sardela, current column writer, as the next Senior Editors. In their time as Senior Editors, they will appoint new staff and make decisions regarding the future of the newspaper. Please welcome them onto your browser dashboard!

It is unfortunate that we will have to let go of our Senior column writers as well. Let’s all give a hand to Briana Ballard, Joseph Kim, and Megan Wiarda! We wish them good luck as they venture into the next phases of their lives.
